On August 28, 2004, the Lexington Nichiren Buddhist Temple, Lexington, Kentucky was accepted in the Nichiren Order of North America (NONA). A dedication ceremony was held on Sunday June 12, 2005. The Venerable Bishop Shokai Kanai, head priest of the Nichiren Shu Temple, Los Angeles, officiated.
